FAQ

Answered with care.

Common questions from first-time clients and long-time visitors alike.

No. Reflexology looks calming like a massage, but it's a specialized modality. Amy applies precise, mapped pressure to points on the feet (and sometimes the hands) that correspond to systems throughout the body — supporting the nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems rather than simply relaxing muscle tissue.

Reflexology is a specialized modality that applies precise pressure to points on the feet (and sometimes hands) that correspond to systems throughout the body. It supports the nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems and helps the body move out of stress and into regulation.

By stimulating specific reflex points in the hands and feet, sessions encourage the body's own regulation and drainage processes — calming the nervous system, supporting circulation and lymphatic flow, and helping tension unwind so the body can do its natural healing work.

Clients commonly seek support for chronic pain, stiffness, autoimmune-related symptoms, tremors, plantar fasciitis and heel pain, neuropathy, sciatica, migraines, stress and anxiety, sleep issues, post-injury recovery, and lymphatic drainage. Reflexology is supportive care — not a medical treatment or diagnosis.

No. Sessions are firm and intentional, but comfortable. Amy adjusts pressure to your body in real time and communicates throughout the session. Most clients describe the experience as deeply relaxing.

Standard sessions run about 60 minutes, with time before and after to talk, settle in, and receive home recommendations. Extended or focused sessions are available depending on your needs.

We begin with a welcome and a short intake conversation about your health history, goals, and any specific concerns. The session itself is quiet and private, followed by a brief debrief and personalized recommendations for at-home care.

It depends on your goals. Acute issues often benefit from a short series of closely spaced sessions, while long-term wellness clients typically settle into a monthly or bi-monthly rhythm. Amy will help you plan a cadence that fits your body and life.

Just arrive comfortably dressed and well-hydrated. Feet will be cleaned and warmed at the start of your session — no special preparation is needed.
